Job Description

Teach ESL online to Chinese children between the ages of 3 to 12. Gogokid plans and prepares all the lesson material for you so that you can log on and teach flexibly from home!

Gogokid pay their teachers between $14-$25 per hour. Teachers can earn more from bonuses and incentives!

Teachers will have one-on-one classes with students. Classes are 25-minutes with a 5-minute break in between. Teachers complete a short feedback report after each lesson. There is no limit to the number of hours teachers can teach every week.

Requirements:

  • Neutral accent and legally eligible to work in the US or Canada
  • One year of teaching experience (e.g., coaching, mentoring, volunteering, ESL teaching)
  • Bachelors degree in any subject
  • Have ESL certification with a valid certificate number

Technical Requirements

Complete an internet speed test to make sure you qualify. Gogokid will also run a test before you do the interview to make sure you meet the technical requirements.

Remember, if you don’t meet these requirements, then you won’t get hired!

Gogokid has many teacher signups every month so it’s important that you at least meet the basic requirements.

Timezone

Be mindful of the GMT+8 timezone. This will likely mean classes are in the early morning for US and Canadian residents.

Most students are online from 7 to 9 pm on weekdays, and 9am to 9 pm on weekends (GMT+8 Beijing Time).

Compare your timezone.
