Bullying is a serious issue that plagues students of all ages. A former student took to social media to share how they got revenge on their old school bully.
The Definition of Bullying
The United States government’s official anti-bullying website defines bullying as “unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.”
While teachers and school staff should protect students and ensure that everyone has access to a safe education, sometimes students fall through the cracks, and the bullies win.
The Inevitable Bullying
A former student took to social media to share how they got revenge on their old school bully.
The original poster (OP) wrote, “In school, I was relentlessly bullied.” They considered themself a “perfect victim” due to their shy nature and lack of interest in popular things.
They Described it as Torture
During those school years, two female students physically abused OP.
“They’d literally torture me by holding me down in the staircase when we were alone and sticking pinboard pins into my arms, legs, and feet,” OP described their experience to users.
The Teachers Listened to The Bullies Instead
Whenever OP tried to inform the teachers, the bullies said OP “fell onto [the pins].” They sometimes twisted the lie even further. OP wrote that “[they’d say] I did it myself.” One of the bullies was the daughter of one of the teachers, adding credibility to the lies.
They Found a Way to Get Revenge
OP was stuck enduring this torment all through school with no help. No one believed them. Then one day, OP found a way to get revenge.
“I went to try out a new ice cream shop, and lo and behold, one of the girls was serving the ice cream,” they wrote.
OP Had Many Allergies
OP has multiple food allergies. Two of those allergies, dairy, and gluten, were present at this shop. As the ice cream shop emphasized its caution with allergies, OP felt safe ordering.
When they realized the girl recognized them, OP had a gut feeling things could go very wrong.
Ordering an Ice-Cream
OP ordered gluten-and-dairy-free ice cream. Thinking ahead, they set up their cellphone camera and aimed it at the counter. It filmed the food preparation area.
“I was certain she’d try something,” OP told readers. Unfortunately, they were right.
Just a Regular Work Day For a Bully
“I caught her on camera putting a spoonful of milk in the bottom of the bowl and crumbling the gluten-consisting wafers over everything, then camouflaging it with the last scoop of ice cream. She put it down in front of me and said, ‘I hope you enjoy it!’.”
OP Knew They Had Her
OP offered the girl a sweet smile. Then they asked if she could get the owner of the shop because they wanted to thank her “for being so welcoming to guests with allergies.”
The shop owner came forward, and “you can guess what happened next,” OP wrote. OP played the video for the owner and informed her that they would be pressing charges.
It Was Considered a Crime
“In my country, it is considered a criminal offense (called ‘inflicting bodily harm’) to serve someone an allergen when you know the person is allergic,” OP explained.
Their bully will never work in food service again. This incident will remain on her criminal record for years.
Social Media Reacted to The Story
Commenters were grateful OP was okay, given the serious risk they faced. “When you start fooling around with food allergies and sensitivities, you could kill someone,” one outraged user posted. “A person like this DOESN’T belong near anybody’s food.
“She’d do this to people other than yourself, I’m sure,” another agreed, describing the bully as a “nasty piece of work.”
The Best Revenge
Others congratulated OP on the spectacular takedown of the bully. “This is actually an epic revenge. Awesome way to teach her a lesson; good job,” one comment read. One user wrote, “They do say revenge is a dish best served cold.”
